Graduation

Universities abroad have a degree format very similar to those in Brazil.
Most courses last 3 years.
Some more specific areas, such as medicine and law, last longer and can take up to 6 years.
There are public and private university options, but for international students all universities are fee-paying.

Prerequisites

In order to enter the universities, you must have been studying a degree in Brazil for at least 6 months and have an advanced level of the local language, proven by a proficiency exam. The type of exam and grade will depend on the university chosen. For students who have only finished high school and have not yet entered a university, it is necessary to do a pre-university study program, which can last from 6 months to 1 year, known as the Foundation Year. In all cases, a sworn translation of the academic transcript is also required.

Areas of study

There is a wide range of degree courses, from the more traditional ones such as Business Administration, Law, IT, Engineering, Architecture, Medicine or Dentistry, to more specific courses such as Nanotechnology, Creative Arts, Sports Management, Aviation, among many others.

Transfer courses abroad

It is also possible to transfer the course to a university abroad, in which case the use of subjects is subject to analysis. The majority of subjects can usually be taken, ranging from 50 to 80%, but for a more accurate assessment it will always be necessary to submit academic transcripts duly translated by a sworn translator. Another existing undergraduate program is the Study Abroad Program, where students complete just one semester of their degree abroad.
