Postgraduate

Postgraduate courses abroad are typically modular in structure. Completing each module provides the student with a certification. The minimum duration for each module is 6 months. These programs are generally divided into three categories: Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma and Master’s Degree. Despite the term “Graduate,” these programs specifically refer to postgraduate studies. Scholarships are possible through direct contact from the student to the university.

Prerequisites

To enroll in any program, an advanced language proficiency is required, verified through a recognized proficiency exam. The type of exam and the required score will vary based on the university and the chosen course. Additionally, the student's diploma, academic transcripts, and, in some cases, work experience are evaluated as part of the admission process.

Course duration

Postgraduate programs abroad typically range in duration from 6 months to 2 years. Graduate Certificate: Lasts 6 months. Graduate Diploma: Has a duration of 1 year. Master's Degree: Considered the complete postgraduate program, it lasts 1.5 to 2 years and is divided into two types: Coursework: Focused on structured classes and assessments. Research: Emphasizes independent research and the completion of a thesis. The exact duration of each program depends on the course, the university, and the country of study. Doctorate programs are available, with a minimum duration of 4 years.

Scholarships

In general, universities abroad widely offer scholarships. However, there are exceptions: Master's and Doctoral Programs: Full or partial scholarships are sometimes available. Other Courses: Scholarships for undergraduate or technical programs are rare. Athletic Grants: Scholarships may be awarded to high-performing professional or amateur athletes who represent the institution in sports competitions. In such cases, the student must directly contact the educational institution. Additionally, students can contact institutions abroad directly, providing compelling reasons why they deserve financial support or a scholarship.
